Dancing Flame - Ojos del Salado - Chilean Bordeaux blend

Name: Dancing Flame - Ojos del Salado

Variety: Chilean Bordeaux blend

Region: Valle Central

Country: Chile

Vintage: 2023

Price: $5

Wine Description: Bursting with blackberry and cherry flavors with a hint of spice and mocha on the finish. Pairs well with grilled meats and vegetables, pasta with red sauce, hard cheeses, or simply on its own.

Wine Folly: This Red blend is most likely a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Carmenere grapes, because of the notes mentioned in the description. (pg 459). Being a wine from Chile it is most likely to be influenced heavily by Bordeaux wines. (pg. 456). The valleys in Chile are known for the soft and supple Bordeaux blends (pg 457)

My Review: The wine had a fruity aroma. The wine had a taste of notes of cherry or wild berries. It had a dry smooth finish, It wasn't really acidic nor tannic, However, It wasn't sweet either. The wine was very well-balanced and had a full body, The color was a really dark red. I personally would recommend this wine.
