Wine Description: Acronym offers a velvet, complex Pinot Noir with soft notes of ripe blueberry and baked cherry pie, nicely complimented by a delicate acidity and crisp finish. This beverage offers a delightful experience with all the sentimentality of your grandmother’s homemade pie. Pairs well with grilled salmon, pork loin or mushroom risotto. Flavors of vine-ripened blueberries and cherries
Wine Folly: Being a California-grown pinot noir wine, wines should be sweet and have a softer acidity. it should have notes of plum, gunsmoke, allspice, raspberry sauce, and vanilla. (pg 335). Pinot noir is a versatile red wine for food pairing, primarily duck, chicken, pork, and mushrooms. The wine should be light-bodied, with red fruit and spice flavors and a smooth soft-tannin finish. (pg. 332).
My Review: The wine was pale red in color and had a fruity aroma. It was very acidic, and I could not taste baked cherry pie or ripe blueberries. It had a very dry finish, almost to the point where my throat would itch. It wasn't as fruity or sweet as the aroma suggested. Overall, I would not recommend this wine, I personally did not like how acidic it was.Rating: 🍷🍷/5
